Nanocom Evolution
Just got my unit through the group purchase.

Unpacked, plugged into my TD5 , got the unit ID, registered on the Nanocom website, gone to the restricted area to get the unlock codes, and find instead 3 License codes.

On the Nanocom itself, it already lists Unlock codes 1 to 4 (i.e. these boxes already have codes inserted).

I know that this is probably a dumb set of questions but....

Do the license codes mean the same as the unlock codes, and should I insert the 3 license codes into Unlock code boxes 1,2 & 3?

Or, do the license codes go in the first empty unlock codes boxes (5, 6 & 7).

OR, are license codes are unlock codes completely different, and if so, where do I get my unlock codes from? 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey

OK the license code 1 is the unlock for box no1. Replace the code in that box with the new license code. Then license 2 for box 2, license 3 for box 3 I'm sure you get the idea. Now when you have inserted the new codes you must cycle through all the license screens on your nanocom until you get to the last page where you have to save the changes made, otherwise the codes revert back to the original and you will need to start again.

When you go to register your unit just fill in the unit id and your email address. They are having server issues.

Right, done all that - thanks lorryman!

But now still get function locked when going to Engine or map sections - can get in to ABS & alarm ok.

With the website being primarily for the original nanocom, not exactly helpful 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey

Probably my fault as after rereading my first reply I realise I could have explained it better.

License1 = unlock box No1
License4 = unlock box No4
License7 = unlock box No7

If you have done the above, recheck the codes you have entered into the nanocom as you may have entered a wrong digit somewhere Thumbs Up

Sounds like a plan - just as well I saved the pre-entered codes
I'll give it a try this afternoon, and advise

Doesn't matter if you saved the pre -entered codes as the unit is looking for the correct code for the module before it can be unlocked. Just enter the license codes into the corresponding box and forget about re entering the pre entered codes in the other boxes as they are locked to you anyway as you have not purchased the unlock code for them. Thumbs Up

I'm off to work in a minute so thought I would post what I did to get my unit up and running.

1. Took unit to car and plugged in, On main screen, pressing the bottom nanocom option gives access to the units ID.
2. On to the nanocom website and registered my units I.D. Tip, Mattia is having server problems so just enter the units ID and your email address.
3. Nanocom email you your login and password details to allow you access to the restricted section. On entering the restricted section you are given access to your units licenses. Note them down and take unit back out to car.
4. Plug unit in and go to nanocom tab and select the licenses tab. Enter the codes carefully following this guide:

License1 = unlock box No1
License4 = unlock box No4
License7 = unlock box No7
The amount of licenses you need to enter depends on the version purchased.

5. Once all the licenses have been entered scroll through all the license pages until the last page and save the changes made. Otherwise you have to start again.
6. Unplug nanocom and then re plug in and voilą your nanocom is ready to go. Thumbs Up
