it will be fine, tbox will take lots of strain before they go, you are more likley to see tyre scrub and an unwillingness to go around corners.

take it out, ensure its released as above and then marvel at how much better it now drives! Cheers

Hello !

I believe that the first think to do when buying a Defender ... is to learn how it is made and how it works. Basically, it's a car from the 50's and it's quite different from a modern car ; she won't tell you if you're doing something wrong Wink

So, you should read you owner manual and avoid asking questions to your dealer. If he is the one located close to the Eiffel Tower, all he knows about Defender is how to sell them. That's it. You'd better have some readings on forums such as Defender2.net or on these ones, in French :

http://www.landmania.com/forum/index.php
http://www.forum4x4.org/forums/16-Land-rover

And if you want to meet up to have a chat in French about our Defender, feel free to send me a PM, I live in Paris Very Happy

Cheers,
Fabien

Fabien,

Yes, I did purchase my defender there and they only care about was selling her. Smile

I would love to sit down with you and learn about her, but I don't speak French. Sad However, based on your writing, we'd be communicating without a problem.

I'm pretty much free these days, so let's get together.
