I've got a Blue Point one which has proved to be reliable over a period of 10 years plus.
It also takes cartridges so easy to load. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper. Wide Track Sankey- In bits- Gone to a new home M0XQS |

Cheers Phil
I can't fault Snap On and Blue Point gear - plenty in the garage What sort of price are they? - don't worry, I'm not back in cheap mode! Yet |

Sorry Screbble I can't help on cost as it was over ten years ago.I didn't have to exchange readies for it either as it was given to me by a mate when I complained that my el cheapo orange and black special pushed more grease out of itself than into a grease nipple. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

The best manual grease guns are made by Teclamit who make garage ramps and MOT brake testers. Mine is 15 years old now and probably had a thousand grease cartridges through it. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Thanks folks. Tecalemit is a name I haven't heard for years! It's funny how the old brain works (or doesn't). As soon as I saw the name, my brain somehow recalled memories of my apprenticeship and how we used Tecalemit gear in heavy industry. Yes, it was/is good gear. Thanks for the pointers and link - a very reasonable price without a doubt! Cheers. |

If you click on epictrail's Tecalamit link, then the "grease guns" choice, the small one shown in their banner is the best (hand) grease gun ever made. The one now offered - bigger, two hands needed - isn't.
It takes a lot of pressure to get grease into the sliding pillars of my Mog (for sliding joints, the 'orrible black Moly that gets everywhere), the Machine Mart "Practical Classics Best Buy" wasn't up to the job, the Draper Expert Heavy Duty has served me well. Peter |

I've always found that you need 3 hands for the lever type linked. One to hold the barrel, one to hold the nozzle onto the nipple & the third to pump the lever.
A pistol type makes it manageable with just 2 hands. Click image to enlarge Last edited by Supacat on 6th Apr 2016 7:21pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Noooooooo too! procrastination is the thief of time, and knee jerk reactions result in two new grease guns appearing in the for sale section Still, I'm grateful for the input folks and I'm sure my new purchase will be far better than my B&M special |

For my Sankey refurbishment I've bought this.
Its not arrived yet and may be a cheap job? but for £12 I'm hoping it will at least grease all the bits that need it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400706805833?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT Cheers |
