Selling for a friend, Land Rover Defender 90 300tdi County Station Wagon.
I shall update the thread when I get more information but it basically goes like this: good runner, bulkhead in good condition, interior good but a bit tatty in places. Exterior has a few minor points of corrosion but mechanically sound. However, the chassis is almost at a point where it needs changing. I think a couple of patches would see it through this year's MOT, however it's days are numbered. Also needs a front brake pipe making up and a few bulbs for MOT. Ideal for a project chassis swap or similar. They are asking for £4,000. Any questions, let me know. Best, Duggie. 173k is correct.
Vehicle is located just outside of Marlborough in Wiltshire for viewing. MOT until the 20th of this month or around then, I believe. And please, be under no false impression here, a bit of welding would see it through an MOT this year, but it certainly is a project and will definitely need a new chassis soon! Many thanks, Duggie. |

As I said, I am selling on behalf of a friend, so couldn't comment on how the price sits, looking at others online prices seem to vary wildly, there are a few around going for much less, then again there are others going for far more.
If I had the cash, the space and the time I'd most likely have it for myself, £1200(ish) for a galv chassis and spend this summer building it back up and it'd be good for £7-8000 all day long. or one to keep for a lifetime. My 110 gives me enough to fiddle with at the moment though! Just been given the MOT failure paperwork and it reads as follows: FRONT NEARSIDE AND REAR OFFSIDE SIDE LIGHTS NOT WORKING. BOTH FRONT INDICATORS INCORRECT COLOUR. NUMBER PLATE LAMP NOT WORKING. REAR 'A' FRAME BALL JOINT DUST COVER SPLIT. BRAKE PIPE, NEARSIDE FRONT CORRODED AND REQUIRES REPLACEMENT. BRAKE PIPE FRONT TO REAR, AND ACROSS REAR AXLE INADEQUATELY CLIPPED. SUSPENSION COMPONENT MOUNTING LOCATION EXCESSIVELY CORRODED - OFFSIDE FRONT LOWER CHASSIS. Advisories read as follows: OFFSIDE AND NEARSIDE FRONT SEATBELTS SLIGHTLY FRAYED. BOTH FRONT COIL SPRINGS CORRODED. NEARSIDE FRONT OUT-RIGGER CORRODED. EXHAUST (FRONT FLEXI) HAS A MINOR LEAK OF EXHAUST GASSES. REAR TYRES STEPPED. SLIGHT CORROSION TO PASSENGER FOOT WELL. SLIGHT OIL LEAK FROM ENGINE, GEARBOX AND TRANSFER BOX. Many Thanks, Duggie. |

Most of that would polish out 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I wasn't saying you were mate! I have been in and out of the trade for a few years and have only ever seen fluctuations like this in the Defender and (more rarely) the Porsche 911s from the 70s and 80s.
Crazy! |
