That F reg is a TD, 200/300Tdi would be a far, far better bet. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. A 300 with galvy chassis is the way to go, after seeing a few being bought by myself and friends it seems that you end up paying not far off the same, whether it is up front with not much to do or buy cheap and plough money in, with perhaps the second option is better as it is what you want to put into it. 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

What do you guys think to this?
eBay Item No. 121916880563 Appreciate it's a 300 conversion but looks to be a decent prospect at first sight. Checked the MOT checker and has passed every year with no advisories apart from an advisory this time with a comment of: Vehicle structure has slight corrosion very slight surface (6.1.B.2) brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened slight corotion (3.5.1i) Exhaust has a minor leak of exhaust gases surface rust (7.1.2) Thoughts much appreciated... |

The photos look tidy enough, but the sceptic in me questions whether it is a 300 tdi, given the lack of any engine shots to backup the claim.
Happy to be proved wrong though 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Had 2 previous keepers which isn't outrageous either.
Need to try to get for a look and investigate why the chequer plate is on the crossmember! Difficult with work though and it's a good 90 mins away. Might just get there before dark if I went after. |

Hi,
So the sharp eyed amongst you will note a change in the title! After a number of months of studying, looking at, driving and getting help from you guys looking at 90's, She Who Must Be Obeyed has now decided that we need to be looking at a 110 CSW now (having actually spotted parking rules applied with a 90 and 110 side by side in Tesco car park she has decided the size difference isn't that significant and the 110 is far and away more practical with Kids and a .) So here I am asking for your help again - is anyone selling or does anyone know of a bargain waiting to be had I've upped the budget slightly too based on the new requirement. I'm in Yorkshire but can travel within reason! Many Thanks..... |

110 is a far better tool than a 90. Will have a look around here see what I turn up

Yeah. That's much appreciated Ta.
Feel bad asking again when so many people had taken time to respond. I suppose thinking about it logically a 90 was never going to work though so hopefully now I am on the right track. |
