Not being married can actually make things worse then if you are married. Believe me I was not married took 3 years and cost me £20k to get shut. Think her costs were in region of £50k. Long, long story. Yes it took its toll on health and state of mind. Try keeping it amicable and I would personally ask Martin to get his big rubber eraser out. Ex's can stalk you and cause all sorts of problems Brendan. PS My ex got no more then what I first offered but we both had lot bigger bills and she had a few other problems of her own makig |

a bit off topic but a chap I knew caught his misses in bed with another bloke. He proceeded to turn all the assets he could into cash and maxed out the credit cards (cash advances) / OD and applied for a divorce. Needless to say she got none of the cash, lost it in vegas told the judge and had the tickets to prove he went, and the house profits were split MINUS his debt.
Not recommending it but if theres nothing left to split up the process dont take as long. Pom |

Do it - take a witness and have someone to swear you were there. Or get another dog - well dont, but make out like you have The microchip can be a problem in transfer and if you want a pet passport etc for germany you will need the chip in good order. Plus what if you loose him, you want him back!! Mike |

Not a good situation.
In Scotland there is no law of trespass, only aggravated trespass (usually determined if a weapon or something which could be used as a weapon) is involved. S Even if it is her house, and you can prove that the dog is your property, then she cannot prevent you recovering your property. You cannot break & enter obviously, but if you still have a key.... Small Claims Court (equivalent to County Court in England) can be used to recover goods, property & cash up to a value of £3000. It costs only £65 to start an action. I would write to her explaining this, copy to your solicitor, and advise her that she needs to return your property immediately, failing which you will start an action against her. WHEN she loses the action, her credit is knackered for 6 years, and she HAS to stump up the goods / cash / property undamaged and immediately, or court fines CAN be assessed and awarded. Also, you might get all your own costs awarded against her too! |

Looks like the tides are changing for the good.
My views haven't changed in the slightest, but looks like hers have. Have had an appology about the way she reacted and locked the dog away from me. Also she is saying I can have the dog back providing I pay for the damages it has caused around the house (Chewing etc). So will see what she wants. I would like to keep it all civilised but if she takes the p!ss it will be back to plan A. Glyn  |

Sounds good.

People have been known to complain about a neighbour who is not looking after their dog correctly. A dog has to be fed, correctly exercised etc.etc.Could you not lodge a complaint with the RSPCA or other relevant body that the dog is not being correctly cared for ?A visit from them will no doubt follow. The dog's welfare will be looked at, the garden viewed to see that it is big enough for the dog,availability of water for the dog will be checked. They will also check that there are no faeces left lying about the garden. Could just make your ex think that looking after a dog is more bother than it is worth. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
