Did a bit of kayak camping via Calgary Bay a couple of weeks ago during that week of surprise summer weather we had. Agree it's a cracking spot:

'disk on a stick'
 I think you mean my mode of getting the kayak up the beach - basically an ally bar axle and two 12" wheels. However in the pic it's in 'tent pole' mode, was about to string my tarp between it and the stern of the kayak. |

Went out for a gentle green lane run in my new to me 50th Anniversary V8 with George at All Terrain Tours, did lots of very easy, non damaging lanes in Northumberland and here are a couple of photos from Saturday
