Its not riveted.
Go and pull it off (if its the rear) and you will see. Mike |

Those aren't rivets - they don't fix to anything.
Just give it a tug and it'll come off. It's held in place by 2 spring clips. You'll need to bend them slightly with a pair of plyers once you've taken it off and then it'll just push back in place. It'll never be tight so I drilled the flange behind it (about 2/3 up the leading edge - with the fake rivets on) and put in a captive nut or rivnut. That way I can really secure it in place. If you have windows, you can get Mantec window guards and they recommend the approach above to provide some level of security. I did the same for the speaker panel below since it was held in place by those stupid plastic expanding rawl plugs, which broke the first time I was fiddling around.
