Hi all tiphat we have finally got ourselves another series 2 and we couldn't be happier we saw the advert on the series 2 forum and decided to give the guy a ring and have a chat ending in us going to view the said Land Rover this morning,we drove down to Cheltenham to have a look, the owner Garry met us and showed us over it and explained that he was the second owner the 1st owner was a close family member who had purchased it in 1967 and changed the taxation class on it to limited use which it was until December 2009 when it had only done 7525 miles and was changed to historic taxation,Garry then took ownership and replaced the chassis
and other bits that needed changing after a pretty hard life towing stock trailers around their farm,Garry then decided to do something different with it and he proceeded to build what we now own, which is a double cab 109 with 6 elephant hide seats, the rear three fold forward and all are in pretty nice condition,it's running its original 2 1/4 petrol engine,I'm sure it won't be to everyone's taste but we like it and love what Garry has done with it,anyway here's some pictures, cheers_man from a very happy Paul Tash n Barney ps it's now done 8231 mil

wow, that's seriously low mileage. Are there any issues with it being so few miles?

I like that Land Rover, it may not be original but it's proper. Better than a Kahn any day.

Hi guys Thumbs Up thanks for the comments were very pleased to of found it,I'm sure the engine will be pretty worn due to years and years of very short running times, albeing it drove back from Cheltenham very well at a steady 50 mph and didn't miss a beat, Very Happy cheers Paul Tash n Barney

Hi Stephen thank you,we're really chuffed with them as well and they are so practical with the rears being able to fold completely forward and also it's handy with the cat flap fitted so we can carry long items easily Thumbs Up cheers Paul Tash n Barney
