On a slightly more serious note then... I have had a Kelly Kettle for a while. It is good fun for boiling water, which it does very quickly. But it is a bit limited after that. You can in theory cook etc on the base, but once you remove the kettle itself you have lost the "volcano" effect, That Ezystove looks as though you get the volcano/rocket effect all the time.

OK OK. Jetboil for you and the wife to sit and have a nice brew while the kids run around filling up the ezy stove!!

I can see both sides. I've been camping as a scout and these days scout leader for years, and I can still happily sit and tend to a fire for hours. Equally, when I want a brew I just want to fire up a stove and have a brew!

Another alternative? Oh alright then...

Biolite camp stove - charges your phone too Smile

https://www.trekoverland.com/products/biolite-camp-stove-blcs001

Jet boil for the wife, ezy stove for you, biolite for the kids to use up their energy collecting fire wood to charge their phones. Its a simple solution really Laughing

On a serious note I think my money would be on the ezy stove for value for money and added fun camping!

Oh dear me - I like that a lot......^

And I thought this would be an easy decision Whistle

I'm still leaning - towards the Ezy Stove...... Rolling with laughter

I suppose this is all futile really, as ultimately I have to gain budget approval from SWMBO Big Cry

if I do succumb, and whatever I purchase, you are all welcome to a virtual brew!

Now let's see what else you can all come up with! Thumbs Up

If thinking Jetboil, get the alpkit brukit for a fraction of the price and buy a load of tea bags....

https://www.alpkit.com/products/brukit

Fits easily in the Defender cubby

That actually looks quite big - and no doubt takes up quite a bit of space compared to other stoves. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

It most certainly does apt100!

I am very impressed - albeit it hasn't been lit Rolling with laughter

It was my intention to cook the family tea on it this evening, alas I was distracted with a family errand.

I will cook something up this week with photos Thumbs Up

No, that's 1/18 scale Defender in the photo.

Yes, it is rather large, although I did 'kind of' anticipate that.

SWMBO exclaimed how large it was. Maybe that's why she approved the budget for the stove Rolling with laughter

Joking apart, it needs testing, and am I looking forward to that Thumbs Up

Like many of you I use the Jetboil and also have a Helsport Lavvu Stove for those camping heating or cooking and it is a top drawer, stainless steel stove :http://www.tamarackoutdoors.co.uk/PBSCProduct.asp?ItmID=9152412 so no complaints from me Very Happy
