Embarassed I haven't lowered mine...honest Laughing (I do have other road toys too)

My v8 decided to not hold some fluids, so I got a quote from RPI for a turnkey engine, they seem to recommend the 500 Weber kit.. Though I'm not sure if I'll just stick my efi on.

Now this is Defender porn Bow down it's just breathtaking, your soft top is fella! Very jelaous...keep the snaps coming. But there should be some disclaimer on this thread - like 'Danger - only for those with 1/0 Defenders and deep pockets - the rest stay away!' Your v8 doesn't look lowered? I'll wait to see what it looks like out of the garage Razz

What sort of replacement engine were you interested in??

Too kind JK! My pockets aren't deep, but they definitely appear to a hole in the bottom of each Big Cry

I've just made room on my drive to pull the 90 out (sold jetski-new ordered), that's this weekends job, so I'll get some photo's up.
I've priced up an RPI Engioneering 4.0 Crossbolted engine, so waiting for a week or two (funds to mount up) before ordering.
Though a friend has a 5.0 Wildcat engine, I'm waiting for him to decide a price!!
I've put the Eibach Alive springs on, just because it transforms the ride!

Go the 5L, you know you need it!
Seriously, I'd be saving a bit longer if it meant getting a superior product,......not saying it is mind you, because being in Aussie, I'm not familiar with either, but as they say, or used to say, "There's no substitute for cubic inches". I believe the "current" term is, "There's no replacement for displacement"?
Do you know the power/torque figures for each engine?
Pickles.

Some comparison photos from today - 80 vs 90 Smile

Its been a while since I had the 80 out, and it needed a little fettling to coax it out of the shed. I think I've got used to the lofty heights of the 90 too recently, as the 80 seemed almost car like in stature (and positively vintage!).
