danny85,
Probably a silly question but what kind of smoke you have? Black, Blue or White? Smole appears when you accelerate or its all the time? Cheers Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

Eduardo it's white smoke mate. It happens when I start the engine then disappears after 5 minutes then again for half a mile when first driven. It doesn't matter how long I leave the engine to warm it doesnt make a difference. It's a really massive cloud of smoke as well

The oil level in the sump is fine it's never changed. The hose from in between the turbo and air filter to the engine is wet with oil same as the intercooler. Not loads of oil just a wet coating I was just wondering if faulty turbo gaskets could cause this. Yes mate white smoke and it smells

Depending of the ambient temperature a faulty glow plugs can cause white smoke, diesel odor during engine cold start, maybe can be that

Yes that could cause the smoke on start up but would glow plugs still cause smoke when driven even if the engine is warm?

white smoke on a cold start up is normal in the colder days of late on them.
You starting it and driving off straight away? or leaving it 5mins then driving off and getting the smoke? (after initial start up) coolant is all good? whats mpg like? Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |
