Lambley, if you don't mind me asking, when you say good price, how good is it?

Thanks Chris.

He's sold them now - but £450 for a set of 5, only done 2000 miles.

Here's a pic of my 110 with the 285s on. they are on twisted wheels so have an extra 33mm of offset.
However, this allows the steering stops to be wound in quite a bit and the turning circle is now much better than on standard boosts with factory fit 235s.

They're only 10mm wider each side than a 265 (obviously 20mm overall).

You will get crap up the side with this set up but the dirt dfenders fitted catch most of it so it's now no worse than standard.

I've had no problem with aqua planning, scary moments hitting minor puddles or pulling to the left.

If you're looking at BFG AT KO2s, the ride is spot on and they're dead quiet.

They've also seen plenty action in the snow this winter and have performed far better than the narrower 255/85 KM2s I was running previously.

i agree they did and they are arguably ion std suspension but a 255.85 though is a good compromise on 2" lift to gain under diff clearance. Cheers

Yes, and they did a remakably good job at it, but don't forget everything is done to a compromisse, including noise or car mag testers who fail to understand the Defender porpose in the first place.
LR was not shy of modding cars when the need arose, like 9.00R16 tyres and taller suspensions.

I used to be quite a "LR knew the best" fundamentalist, until I started to do some harder trails and saw better prepared vehices passing undamaged by me while I was stuck or too afraid to break something
