Defender 90 softop conversion to hardtop - parts doubt!!!

hi gents,

I am converting my defender 90 2005 softtop to hartop using a 1999 hardtop and i have the following doubts before my attempted fitting tommorrow.

I am not sure about the foam and rubber seal needed but came up with this list:

1-MTC 4994 (rubber seal upper hardtop)
2-MTC 6568 (foam seal windscreen)
3-MXC3684 (seal body side right)
4-MXC3685 (seal body side left)

is that all i should be concerned with?

On the other hand i have another doubt on the rear foam between the capping and the hardtop, found 2 references

1- ALR5056.......................seal same for both sides defender from 91 to 01
2- AML710070,AML710060.....seal for each sides defender from 2001 onward

my question my defender is a 2005 and hartop is 1999 which seal should i go for ?

does it depend on car body or hardtop?

Hi James

meaning it is not a big deal they will fit regardless the body and hardtop right!!!

for these 2 seals
1-MTC 4994 (rubber seal upper hardtop)
2-MTC 6568 (foam seal windscreen)

would you know if they should be one on top of the other or paralel to one another.

Started with a little bit of difficulty, I have gaps between the hardtop and capping and front rooftop to windscreen side gaps.

All the bolts were tight as much as we could but still the seal it touching the capping very slightly.

What can I use besides the orginal sealing???
