Well Eric, and all the others that asked, there's the reason he/she is selling it. 98,500chf equates to 90,000€ or £70,000 How much was a list 'Adventure'? £45k? Even with the double din dash, the full leather and the other bits and bobs, that cannot be more than £10k all in. So between £10k -£15k profit with a fair wind....Nice if they get it Monsieur Le Grenadier
I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Thanks. Wow, that is an obscene mark up. I guess good luck to the seller but 'I'm out'...

If you study the full list of mods in the advertisement, including everything hidden under the skin and which is not visible in the pictures, you will get to quite a bit more than Grenadier's estimate. Don't think there actually is very much of a mark up, if any at all, looks like a private seller trying to recuperate his investment in full that's for sure, but as usual is the case, the chance that he can find a buyer paying the full cost of all these upgrades/mods is very doubtful. Pretty sure the truck will find another Swiss buyer, but we probably never will know the final price. Don't really care either, because I am pretty happy with what I have. Good luck to the seller from me, I find it in any case a above average tasty and nice example, just falling short of overkill (luckily).
Eric You never actually own a Defender. The photos show an all-in-one folding key. Is this standard issue of the latest Defenders? Can you now get them for 2012 models??

^^ I still see the same old key as back in 2009 on mine.... The truck's remote is different since then, and the second remote is for the webasto.

^^ As far as I can tell, that's the remote control for doors/alarm You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

That is correct eric, I have this remote on my 2015 HT.
It is for setting alarm/ locking and unsettling alarm/unlocking the truck. That's it. Thanks for that. I was hoping to finally be able to get a modern folding key in the Defender, but obviously not!

Sadly, no. After driving the Discovery I always forget to get the key out to put in the ignition of the Defender
But it is easy to spot on the key hooks Cheers Simon I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you 1990 110 TD5 county, my first Land Rover - gone 2012 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2014 Discovery 4 XS SDV6 - gone 2015 Evoque SD4 dynamic - Wife’s - gone 2015 Urban Truck 90 XS Santorini Black Hard Top - Reluctantly gone 2020 Discovery 5 Eiger Grey 3.0 SE - gone March 24 2021 Defender S D250 Santorini Black 110 HT - gone March 24 2023 Evoque P300e SE wife’s current vehicle |
