I've been looking to add some sound deadening/proofing to my 90 for some time and took the plunge the other day after reading a review on this stuff and it sounded pretty good. I know Dynamat is very popular but it was out of my budget unfortunately so I was looking for the next best option. Bit late in the game to ask for people opinions because it's getting delivered today but has anyone had any experience with this particular product? If do, how much of a difference did you notice? I'm going to fit it myself so any DIY tips & tricks before I start would be really helpful. Thanks, SG |

I see this comes in packs of 90 sheets
How many packs would be needed to do a 110. Also is their anything to help cancel out the engine noise a bit more or would this stuff help around the front area? Anything under the engine worth doing? I would be interested to see what you think of this. Thanks |

I used Silent coat throughout my 110. Great stuff! ( Ebay was cheapest) Easy to use and very effective. Warm weather makes it easier! use a wallpaer roller and a hairdryer and it will fit anywhere. See my thread... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic35268-30.html page 3 on Clemmo Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow.... Thanks for responses all
I bought a roller with the soundproofing as I imagined it would make it easier on install. Clemmo - First off, you have a lovely looking truck! Don't see many in Montalcino Red but it looks amazing. I also noticed in your thread you used 6mm Silent Coat and I've ordered 2mm depth. From the difference you noticed after your job am I going to be wasting my time fitting 2mm? SG |
