For sale here in Switzerland. Owner must have spent a fortune on all these high quality and tasty modifications, many of which are underskin and cannot be seen in the pictures. I have the list of it all, some of those still will be installed underskin on my own SVX this year. You wonder what has happened, truck was road registered only 11/2015, so barely 4 months old and a few 1000KM, and then immediately selling.
Putting some pictures as to me it is one of the tastiest Defenders I have seen recently. ^^ And a lot of additional Entreq upgrades are under the hood and inside the cabin under the seats which are not visible in the pictures. Some of which bpman and I already have, others are on my list to be installed on the SVX this spring/summer. I will show you the full list next week here in between our trips to the Motor Show.
With winter drawing to an end, it slowly starts to get time again to book the SVX for a week's vacation in Uhldingen-Mühlhofen and define what treatment it will get there. Guess with these last two posts Edzi's question got answered too. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Nothing wrong with this truck by the way. A Defender just is not the right vehicle for some people, and some find that out a bit late in the game. If I did not have the SVX, I might scoop this beauty up now without thinking for more than 30 seconds. Very similar how I bought the SVX at the time. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Very nice Defender, with very nice mods.
I notice it has the standard equipment rust in the cross member Thought it would have been treated, looking at the standard of the rest of the truck. Ryderoo, well spotted, but that is no rust at all. This light brownish colour you noticed is exactly the look of the type of soft wax Entreq uses for protecting the inside of a new rear cross member. Entreq use the German made TimeMax products for that which in various comparative tests are invariably the #1 test winners (with Dinitrol amongst the very better ones too). That is one of the many mods (treatment is a better name for this one) on this Adventure edition which I mentioned are not all really obvious from the pictures I posted, this entire truck when new got this anti rust treatment at Entreq. And as to...
Not sure I understand your "re moved", but the Entreq snorkel does not need holes to be drilled in the A-post. Gets fixed by a bracket connecting behind the fake window hinge and its standard 3 bolts. Guess that's what you were wondering about? Eric You never actually own a Defender. I shall stand corrected eric.
It just appeared to me that way. However, this did/does not detract from being a very nice truck. Good for Entreq, using a rust coloured treatment, so rest of us don't feel hard done by with new rust on our trucks. My own Dinitrol soft wax in the cross member, doors, etc. is of pretty similar colour, and my Dinitrol under body and chassis wax is of a very brown colour too. Still, I believe to be able to distinct that my truck remains totally free of the dreaded rust bug. At least I can not see any reddish brown colour anywhere.
