Thanks Mike.
To be honest none of the jobs are huge or scary and there is nothing stopping you using it every day. It just needs a bit of a tidy up. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Well the only way me and my girlfriend could keep it would be for us to both work weekends to repay the loan we took out for it. Our working week is already from 7am till 7pm including commuting and that's on a good day. We would just never see each other and that's not the point of why we got it or why we got together.
The other way would be to try and ask the bank to make the repayments less but then we would incurr all kinds of charges and so on and would be paying it off forever- and still not be able to use it or work on it. I think I have made it sound like a complete dog, it really isn't its a nice truck otherwise I would not have bought it in the first place! Haha, Thanks!
Don't get me wrong its a great truck, I just haven't gelled with it. I used if intensively for 3 weeks when my 200Tdi was having head work and I couldn't wait to be back in my 200Tdi. I don't know why, on paper is is much better than a 200Tdi and it is far smoother, quieter, powerful than the 200Tdi. I would even go as far as to say it sounds better too- heater is more powerful and works better, dashboard is nicer, seats in the middle and back much comfier. But I love my 200Tdi and I suppose the Td5 just doesn't feel like its properly mine. Just need someone to come and buy it Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

I know, but it has got 0 interest other than a very cheeky offer of £7000 on ebay which was just to low.
If you have a new TDCI for sale you can rake it in, anything else and it just seems to be flat and not selling. I'm loosing money on it at £8500 but me and my girlfriend are struggling to survive at the moment so it has to go. I looked into it but at £36 for a standard advert for 2 weeks I thought it was a bit expensive.
I will give it a go and see what happens. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Tbh honest as said before you will struggle to achieve over £7k for it, the real selling market is miles off ever ones asking price and the actual sale price is some 30/40% lower in some cases. Don't be pulled in by what they are being advertised at go by the sold price on places like ebay. |
