Anyone got a Vortex Exhaust fitted. Quite interesting claims on their website. Discovered them after an enquiry to Nene, who now say they offer them as a retro-fit to their Icons.

lots of stuff on google, mainly for hot hatches etc.
If Nene are selling it for £900 it must work |

Hi , After seeing a Vortex fitted on a Cobra whilst watching Wheeler Dealer, it made me contact them. They have put me in touch with a Local Supplier who has quoted £600 Fitted They claim 10% better bhp and torque. Wait and see

Unless you are planning on a dyno run before and after, it's going to be difficult to know anything isn't it?
There's a certain irony in that people are removing them from the intake side but adding them to the exhaust side, apparently to do the same thing |

I know these chaps and aren't far from me.
I always use them as they are friends to fit exhausts I buy such as Milltek but never had one of theirs. Always do a great job at fitting mine and snooping around their parts, there's always nice bits. Can't. Comment on their actual Vortex systems though. |

I wouldn't have thought just changing the exhaust without a re map would do any good.
Had my 90 Dynoed before and after mods (exhaust, Intercooler and air filter), and it produced exactly the same results. Bit of a difference after re-map, 40% more torque 30% more power. But it was a surprise that there was no change just by adding "bits"! Cheers WYL 2015 90 Keeper 2005 R300 Keeper 2019 XC40 Shopping Trolley 2008 110 XS Utility (Friday Build) Gone! |

On "Top Gear" a while back, with a Renault performance modded by the threesome and driven by "The Stig" I seem to remember the biggest performance gain was just by giving the car a service!? |
