I'll be the first to say, £6k unfortunately won't buy you a lot, unless you want rust.....you'll get a lot of that.
I've seen some nice 300/200tdi 90's about, though they're truck cabs. I'd buy a truck cab and convert it, you may get lucky and find somebody who wants swap roofs with you. I did once. Bikes? There's not heaps of room for bikes in a 90, there's just enough for 'bike'.....at a push! If you do fit seats, you can forget about putting bikes in!! Might be worth getting Tetris on your phone, for a bit of practice. Good luck. |

Hi.
6k should buy plenty unless it's overpriced and many still are at the moment. Some seem to think that since they aren't making them any more that they are rarer than rocking horse poop. Got a rear wheel bike carrier waiting so that's that sorted. I can wait. I have done this long. Cheers for replying. |

You've never been able to get much for 6k
Not in the last 10 years. I do however hope that you do ![]() |

There's plenty that are overpriced, that's a fact.

Cheers guys.
I'm not looking for anything immaculate and have been offered things via here and landyzone. I've seen a shift in prices downwards already since I started looking. There are plenty out there between 4.5-6k and come summer I'd expect things to level off even more at the top end of that bracket. Like I say this is effectively a 3rd car so happy to bide my time. |

Thanks for those links, the 2nd 300 TDI is about 30 mins up the road from me.
I also spotted this one - reckon they would take £4500 for it - any thoughts on this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-LANDROVER-D...SwxcRW~DBD |

I'd leave the 19j turbo well alone. If you are in the pursuit or originality then go for it but you'd be better with a 200 or 300 tdi or plan on an engine swap in the near future
