Thanks - I was getting the roofline mixed up with one of the Ginettas.

Yes it was a sls, and very nice sounding one as well. The clubsport and a number of hurricanes were box fresh and first time out for the first test of the season. The AC cobra is a genuine, recently purchased and brought to the track but they burnt the clutch out getting it off the lorry.

Due to the lack of gull-winged doors it can't be a SLS, should be the sls-model-replacement Mercedes-AMG GT: http://www.mercedes-benz.de/content/german.../c190.html |

Indeed it is... AMG GT3 with the awe-inspiring engine note that sounds like nothing else in the paddock...
Had 'issues' with the oil cooler in Dubai but after stern words with the folks at Mercedes and AMG, hopes are high for the rest of the season.. Bearing in mid the car was brand new (delivered a week or so before Christmas), it was right on the pace and, barring the oil cooler issue, finished the 24 hrs! Aim now is for some podium finishes... |

Top!!! How much power has the GT3-version and how much does it weigh?
Few years ago I was on the HockenheimRing with a standard SLS, invited by HugoBoss and AMG. Very very impressive. Made first place out of 20 so got a ticket for NürburgRing for two days with personal drivinginstructor. Too sad I had to cancel it because I was ill. I would have loved to drive it in the 'green hell' |

Grand Prix track or the Nordschleife? Kudos to the instructor - must have been taking a very large brave pill to let you loose in one of them around the latter |

Nordschleiffe for sure, the only place to be when it comes to racing!

I've only cycled around or been in a van but I think Spa is pretty special.

Great racetrack too, been there twice for formula one, especially when it's raining, but very short in distance in comparison to the 20 km Nordschleife, not a typical roundtrack, more like a streetrace like mille miglia used to be in the old times

To be fair every modern/current racetrack is going to be short when compared with the Nordschleife, with the possible exception of the TT circuit on Isle of Man and maybe Pikes Peak.
