Body Water Leaks, what products to use.
Afternoon all,

I've been reading the Leak Procedures document, it says "Install the "L" shaped door joint patch", what is the L Shaped door joint patch and where do I get one from?

Any ideas on the brand of dum dum and body sealer too please.

Smudge

BTW, its embarrassing to say but my Lotus Elise is better made than my Defender!! 08 110 Puma Station Wagon

Its this Smile The patch is made from reinforced white tape if you cannot source one and I can find no part number for the patch, if you can’t find one its very similar to the tape used to mend cracked cricket bats so I am sure you could use that.

Erm seeing as I have less leaks after some effort - but still some leaks - what is this document and where do I get it ...

(The one I am still after - is dripping out between the headlining and roof just over the drivers door... )

Look for cracks where the two parts of the roof come together.

mmm ok - from the inside or out ...

I WAS looking at the alpine window seals - but having got up there there is no sign of water in the gutters at that point of the roof. MY12 110 XS Ute, silver & grey now...

Outside. I had cracks on the left and the right side of it.
I think I still have the photos in an e-mail. Can put one or two online when I'm at my own computer again.

Yeah - for me (with some mass to my name) it oft happens when I get in ... but if mine is like that I can see why - hmm most places I don't worry but there - if one needs to paint afterwards what sealant is preferred - I've some Unibond Roof n Gutter seal I happened to have which I've used with success in hidden away places... MY12 110 XS Ute, silver & grey now...
