Used to be heavily into the off road scene, organised, took part in and ran numerous events. Some of the early challenge events and international events like the Transylvania trophy. The Europeans were streets ahead of us in development of motorsports, there was serious sponsorship and people could drive off road for a living!
We were at least a decade behind. 80" 1948 Lightweight V8 Bowler Tomcat 130 Station wagon 90 300tdi (Santana PS10 pick up) Range Rover L322 (Ful fat) |

Tidy looking truck, I think it would fail any UK comp regs though for not having the wheels covered.

I'm not sure if that was also what ibexman was thinking when he said this:
but spec details: * Custom made removable mud guards * Removable front wings and it's listed as having a registration - 806 GER - which woud imply it is road legal... |

I'm thinking that the tyres stick out a little past the wheel arches which would make non road legal?

Think of an Ariel Nomad, Caterham, 340R, etc all road legal due to mud guards.

yes but I don't see any mud guards. minor detail granted.
I do wonder whether it's truly road legal or not? |

Well one of us would have to ring them up and ask I guess
Although, there's an alternative view that you could run it on the road and just wait to see if you are pulled... |

And as for the center winch, I've done a few years of winch bitching and we use our center winch I would say every event and have never had to use it for self righting.
