Hi all

Looking for 300tdi 90 county station wagon or V8 but would consider a van also. Needs to be in reasonable condition or better and fairly standard.

Good luck in your search, it'll be worth waiting for the right truck to come along.

I bought a 300TDI CSW a couple of years ago and loved it. Sold it for a 50th Anniversary V8 and hated it. Compared to the tdi, it felt heavy and uninvolving, oh and it did 12MPG!! Quickly sold it and managed to buy back my beloved tdi.

With your budget, you should easily get a great genuine CSW, with proper sound deadening and carpets, which do seem to make a big difference in terms of quieting things down. A 300 tdi is a peach of a motor.

Just got back from a trip to the Cotswolds, with my wife and our two dogs and loved every minute of driving that car and clocked 34MPG. Keep looking and don't rush, the perfect one will come along.

United Kingdom 1997 Defender 90 300 Tdi PU Coniston Green
Maybe not what you are looking for but I have a really nice 1997 300tdi pick up with Ifor Williams canopy.
The car has 155k and very clean - Coniston Green with white roof, door tops and cab.
Fitted with 2 part series 3 doors, galvanised bumper and rock sliders and early rear panels - lots of new body panels and high quality enamel paint in original colour.
Bought this as a workhorse but ended up semi-restoring it.
Very straight and tidy truck - let me know if you want pictures - am looking for approx 5.5k which does not cover costs...
