Just had my 90 remapped at Urban Truck at the weekend. Holy cow! What a difference it makes in performance. I drove back like a complete loon!
I'm now going to do some normal long runs so I'll keep you posted on economy. 28.5mpg is the best I've had pre-remap so let's wait and see... BTW: They have a great set up there, if anybody's in Milton Keynes with a spare hour and the need for some advice I'd recommend popping by. Thanks to Dan who got it done at short notice for me. ------------------------------- 👲🏻 1986 ex-Military 90 NAD 2.5 Soft Top. Sold 🇬🇧 2015 Defender 90 - Ripon Landrover Heritage 006 |

Their website lists it as 'Stage 1' so its only the one variant. Costs Ł540 inc VAT and yes they gave me a 10% forum members discount off that fig.
If you email from the website or phone and ask for Dan, I'm sure he'll get you sorted. Get it done, you know you wanna... ------------------------------- 👲🏻 1986 ex-Military 90 NAD 2.5 Soft Top. Sold 🇬🇧 2015 Defender 90 - Ripon Landrover Heritage 006 |

Butchers Boy,
Stage 1 tune gives approx 160 useable bhp across torque range, midgear pulling is great, I have also have SS cat back exhaust and modified Urban suspension (2" lower) plus sports ARB's, this gives great A road driving experience. Great guys worth a chat, very helpful. You can get the full beans as well from Urban. http://www.houseofurban.co.uk/store/p97/Ul..._Pack.html http://www.houseofurban.co.uk/store/c8/SUSPENSION.html No rolling road in house. Christ on a bike That looks lovely
I quite like the lower look I wasn't sure if I would? and those wheels really make it! I put 20's (I know yours are 18's) on a RRS a few years ago it looked great but the ride was quite hard. I'm guessing you have sports seats (some pictures of the inside if you have any?) They wont have as much padding in as the original LR seats so with the lower ride, bigger wheels and harder seats how would you rate the ride in terms of comfort? Would you say better than standard I love you carpeted garage !! 2010 Defender 90 HT The longer I live..... The better I was! Last edited by Butchers Boy on 23rd Feb 2016 8:35am. Funny how many of us take a sneaky photo of our pride and joy in supermarket carparks... . But I am wondering if in the UK that's just in case it's nicked whilst you're buying your bangers? Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Ok, I would not want to drive it from Buckinghamshire to Berwickshire. It is a stiff ride but you can chuck her into corners with confidence, giving a spirited drive. Having said that I have driven it to Porstmouth, a round trip of about 160 miles and it was fine, could still walk upright. Poorly maintained roads can be a bit jarring. I like it, always drive with a silly grin. Enjoy driving it more than the Disco 4, more feeling. Don't get me wrong the Disco 4 is fantastic but I do miss the Urban Truck after a few days with the Disco. P.S the garage pic was taken during a build visit to Urban. I don't even have carpet in my lounge!! for lowering springs, alive have a comfort spring out now, i have the sports one... 95% of normal driving i wish i had the comfort ones.
i do however have a rather quick defender and on a track / hartside pass its extremely fun (apart from the BFG AT's but cant really blame them) |
