Just read a post on FB and verified on their website, the Spring Adventure at Ripley Castle has been cancelled.

I'm not sure a lack of traders is that bad a thing, might make it more of a social event. I assume the reason they are moving it is because it's a "free" show for them on the back of their other shows there so they won't be too worried about any lack of income from trade stands.
Ripley was always borderline as a show because of the unpredictable access to different areas of the site. Not sure if they fell out with the Great Yorkshire show ground people or it was too expensive or a bit of both but Ripley was always a second choice IMV. Ripley agricultural show is a much bigger affair on the same land (and more on the other side of the lake) that is always heaving with stands and visitors but they have the good sense to hold that when it's likely to be dry ! http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

cool, thats closer for me too, plus a far more scenic drive up the northumberland coast rather than the dull journey on the A1 through teeside to north yorks!!! My 109 thread
