1st of all welcome and congratulations!! It is a lovely car Unfortunately I'm on the other side that K9F with an extensive list of faults most of them already fitted by the guarantee. My is MY2007, so probably most of my big problems are already solved in the MY2010. Oil sump hit by the transmission (already solved with a new design) Oil leakages from the transfer and the brake drum Brake vacuum pump broken twice (solved with a new design) Clutch broken Some problems with the adjustments of several pieces (gear lever, hand brake) Electric switches not working Water leaking in the passenger side (still not solved ) Several nuts lost or loose Door closing adjustment and door stops doesnt work Details in the painting Rear door panel broken 2nd row Seats cannot be folded 2nd row seat belt broken As you can see, only 3 or 4 of them impair the car: the rest are anoying but you can live with them. Well I have 80.000 km with mine and is used extensively by all the family (6 persons) and should be a good lab test to LR. But as K9F said is a matter of luck if you get a good one. By the way, If you ask me I will buy it again!! Cheers! Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

Welcome to the "team"!!
My car is 6 days old (350km done) and yesterday did his first visit to the dealer!! The locking peg on the driver's side did not always close the central locking - took them 5 min and is working fine now! This piece, on the image below, on the right wheel was touching the brake disc, and I could hear an annoying noise, as long as the car was moving! They took the right wheel off, straightened it, and is fine now ... no noise and the disc brake is fine! and I only picked it up last friday!!! I just hope that all the problems that Eduardo mentioned are solved ... Oh, and it is raining a lot here in Lisbon today, I have water behind the driver's seat! nothing new! I'll find out where it comes from and then I go the dealer! Hi Irmaniac. Here is a manual that shows how to close your leaks. http://www.legionlandrover.com/manuales/de...ngress.pdf I plan to use it when my car arrives. Dumdum Sealing Compound already in the garage. Purchased here: http://www.frost.co.uk/result_search.asp Search for "Sealing Compound" Thank you Eduardo and K9F. I know there is no final answer to my "hopeless" questions. It's either or. I hope good luck continues to smile at me ------ My Freelander2 My2007 does not know the meaning of the concepts of "problem & error". bpman I so envy you, though would go for a fire 90. Why can't LR UK sell conversion stuff as extras instead of plain-jane SUX stuff?!
Ice in Switzerland is so...alpine though. Just needs a Transit TDCi radiator badge & Puma pic on the wheel cover. Currently adding a few bits to it. It will be waxoyled in Yorkshire Brendan PS Edited to add Whilst on ramp today it was noticed that the rear diff nose oil seal was leaking. Will start a list before asking for warranty work to be done Brendan |
