Hi everyone I'm Jason my first post on the site, and my first defender too talk about going in at the deep end with the first job I went for the an 07 puma.
No issues on the get go it was a great vehicle for the first 6 months until the clutch went a couple of weeks back. So I've purchased the latest clutch repair kit and a new space cylinder along with the plastic bleed nipple pipe that connects into the slave cylinder. It's all back together with relatively no issues however .... And I really do hope someone points out a schoolboy error because I'm clueless at this point. I've come to bleed the car and tried the conventional old school method pumping the pedal and opening and closing the bleed nipple until all air is expelled go there in the end no air in the system But the pedal is spongy and soft still and doesn't seem to have enough pressure to engage the clutch. I've got a master cylinder coming in the post today so I all else fail after that I haven't a clue why it doesn't seem to want to keep pressure any ideas??? |
