So answering my own question - I've just read this piece in Autocar: http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/land-r...110-review Their comments on the gearbox are very disappointing: "the gearbox often hunts for gears and is noticeably abrupt between first and second, while quick applications of throttle results in substantial transmission shunt when stepping-off." and "All the same, a brutish shift between first and second is just one of the ways in which the transmission can try to pour cold water on the fun." http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/motoring/c...d-10892907 Last edited by Supacat on 16th Feb 2016 10:35am. I bought my 90SW last year with a 4 speed auto already installed. It was fine, but seemed to rev highly in all gears and I just felt the engine was calling for more gears. It was also quite noisy, in my opinion. I had the 6 speed auto installed about 1000 miles back by JE engineering, together with a tune to approx 175 bhp. The transformation is just what I wanted.

Can I pick someone's brains here, please.
After stripping the v8 90 down I carelessly didn't take note where the 2 wires from the auto go to. (Hp22) One for the reverse light, I think I have covered. The inhibitor wire is what I'm struggling with, which wire (to where and colour maybe) does that go to please? Thanks in advance. |

Very interesting! I don't think you have mentioned that before have you? Can you get some photos up of the install and share your thoughts - especially compared to the earlier 4 speed? |

Hi SupaCat - no, haven't mentioned before. I'll take some shots and post later when get the chance. So far the set up has been great - definitely the right box for the 2.2 engine, but costly!
I've also had the air suspension added by ACHV, if anyone is interested. I'm in London/Suffolk should anyone want to try. Mark |

Mark - I think there's probably quite a few on here that would be more than interested to hear about the bits you have had done.
