United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 Adventure Corris Grey
I had a 4am start to LRE Eastnor, 140mile trip both ways. No smell.
The folks at LRE went through the low/high range, diff lock and we went through the 4x4 circuits.
They said its most likely because its new and there must have been some burn-off.

They did go into more detail around starting from stationary using just clutch & break without throttle as well as throttle flare. Got to try it on other Defenders as well. All good for now. Thanks much for all your kind comments and advice!
