Dislocation cones and OME Heavy spring issues
I have a set of dislocation cones from the Extreme Evolution kit. All excited to get the components fit while I am reassembling my project, I have run into a snag.

I have OME 513 springs in front, which are rated heavy load ( I have a heavy bumper and winch) and these give a 2" lift. With the heavier springs, they are made of a thicker material, which in turn reduces the actual centre space of the coil, when I went to put in the dislocation cones, they only sit 3/4 of the way down into the spring due to the smaller diameter space. Big Cry

Options?

• replace the 1 year old springs that work GREAT and give me the height and ride I want
• have cones made with a smaller diameter (yikes! $$$)
• is there a front cone available that has a slightly smaller diameter than the standard?

the ring is showing how far I can get the cone into the spring.. about 3/4 of the ay, so it's not going to work.

so I'm looking for suggestions.... anyone?

My rear cones are on the way from the UK, and I hope I am not going to run into the same issue... it's a Landrover thing...

Gwyn Lewis sells these springs and does his own dislocators. Might be worth a call.

I was looking on the Gwyn Lewis site to see if they had the 531's and they don't list any springs.

They have front cones, but attached to turrets. On the set up I have, it has a 2" lowered turret, so swapping turrets isn't really an option. it's a Landrover thing...

He sells all the springs. I've got dual rate ome springs all round. I'd still give gwyn a call. He's really helpful on this stuff. Nothing lost eh!
