We drove cross continent last summer, from the UK to Romania, and not only did the handbrake get hot, but so did the metal under the seats. It was so hot that you couldn't really touch it for too long. It was amazing how hot it was in the cab, turning on the AC helped a bit but still... boiling!

When i am towing the Ifor in the summer and the viscos fan has locked up the handbrake seats ect become unbearable to touch, i dont have air con but sun roof removal helps If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Comparing to other trucks the landy is not different in terms of isolation. Well, the exhaust tube has less heat shields along. Defender tends to trap the hot air due to all the front facing shapes of the floor. I`ll give it a try with isolation foam and some homemade shields. NOt sure if it`ll work out as Al made panels are 4-5 times more conductive than steel.

In fact is quite unpleasant on long trips at 30ºC + Puma 110" SW

I wonder if dgardel's floor gets warm/hot, he has fitted the entreq underside plate, I'm wondering if this moves the air in a different way under the truck?
