To be fair, like most forums it's the regular posters and contributors that get to sell things for free and on some sites any low posters or newbies have to pay to sell. As you've been a member for 6 months and have only amassed 13 posts including this one it's not much of a contribution to keep the forum alive. Post more and join in and you'll be able to sell in no time we'd love to hear what you've got to say. Ray My build thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17615.html |

Well, you now have 13 posts... It would not take very long at all to knock up another 12... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al[/color] |

"Knocking up" another 12 or whatever isn't really using community properly to get your free ad(s).
You can buy an ad for £4 for a parts ad, or contact me if you feel you have a case for an exemption. That's all in the selling rules which are in the for sale forum and linked to all over. Sorry you're annoyed enough to put them on eBay, post up about your annoyance but not get in touch but that is entirely up to you. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Ps: sell on eBay and you've got 10% fees plus PayPal fees and any listing fees which might apply.
Qualify here, or buy an exemption, and there are no fees charged by the site. Free ads are a "perk", a thank you from me to people who actively add to the site. Logging in daily and reading posts doesn't add to the forum's knowledge resource. That's why there's a 25 posts requirement. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Well said Martin, I'd much rather support this site than eBay...

Point took and I certainly would not seriously advocate that, it's agin the roolz after all... It was a tongue in cheek offering following the comment suggesting it had taken six months to achieve 12 posts... Rog... The GREEN One... I wouldn't dream of posting on subjects I know nothing about, when people who do can genuinely give good advice, just to reach the required 25 posts. It's just not cricket

25 posts since August surely that's nothing,
I'm asking stuff all the time and I do search for stuff also.... before I do honest guv Even take part in the word game to get the posts up? I'm on here most nights and it soon adds up, almost ALL forums I go on have a minimum level the same for PM'ing people. Even the bay of E limits what you can do before you gain selling credits.... Good luck on the bay and hope you don't get Muppet's bidding that don't pay that's my biggest bug bear and the fact the fees seem to add up ! |

Thanks guy's for all your comments, I probably haven't got as involved as much as I could have but I'm not one to waffle on about subjects I'm not really competent to comment on, havent had a defender for over ten years as family life got in the way so only have experience working on and rebuilding 300 tdi which are now old news, still love them though. For the last 2 years I've been collect bits to rebuild a ROW spec 110 that I got from Modsales/ Witham, as a camper. It's had a new chassis at some point as there's a GKN sticker on the n/s chassis rail. Almost got enough to make the project viable so come summer I'll be as happy as a pig in muck as I get to start putting it back together.
Martin, if you read this... I was annoyed as I believe I've contributed when I could, the fact that I've listed items on "that" site is only because I need the funds, I would have preferred them to have gone to members how like me love these vehicles. |
