Considering you have a 110, I wouldn't risk copy wheels. People massively under-rate Boosts, just because 9 times out of 10 they come with the Defender....you feel the need to change them.
Keep your money safe and paint your boosts. |

Sawtooths all the way. I have Sawtooth copies from D44 on my 110 and have had no issues. I also have genuine ones on my 90 but there ain't much to tell them apart. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful

I was messing around with different wheels and options a while back, some anthracite and black but it might give you an idea of different designs etc.... SVX, Terrafirma beadlock, Terrafirma 5 spoke, Zu's, Twisted and sawtooth.... I was thinking mine is just too black.

I had the same dilemma! (Mines a 90) I decided that if I got copies it would always be at the back of my mind that they were going to let me down either at speed or off-road and I just didn't want that in the back of my mind every time I took it out! So I opted to have my 16" Boosts powder coated gloss black I had all five done £45 at wheel. I put a full set of BFG K0s'2 on them as well and I'm very pleased I did. They look like new and IMHO think they look every bit as good as the SawTooth wheels and the best bit they are less lightly to let me down being original LR wheels with the correct load rating

"I know the sawtooth thing has nearly been done to death...." Not the first thread, and neither will it be the last. I am sure everything has been done to death, down to rivets
Sawtooth, never liked Boosts.. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Lambley, any chance you could use your skills to 'paint' a 110DC in Havana and stick some Bowlers on? That's hopefully my next project...Bit of fun for a rainy sunday? Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

wow! thanks for all the quick replies.
I am definitely leaning towards getting the Boosts painted now. Interested in that Upol raptor black stuff. My next post was going to be to see what I can use to paint the chequer plate on my side steps. Has anyone use it for wheels? --------------------------------------------------------------- |

I would definitely pick black genuine Boost wheels over replica Sawtooth every time, buying fake wheels just isn't worth the risk in my opinion. They look great too.

Really interested in having my boosts done black now. The standard silver looks a bit weak against the Santorini black.
Will I "have to" go for a wider tyre at the same time or how does it look with the standard 235/85s? |
