An exceptionally rare and desirable vehicle! It's been a while since I saw something I covet as much as that.

Worth more than the diesel S1 discussed recently on this forum.

I have an original advertising pamphlet also, and saw one in the early days of it's development. There are a few in collections in the UK but you rarely see them driven.

I don't think any were sold for the simple reason they didn't seem to work.

Nah, they would let the water in. Couldn't have a Land Rover that leaked, could you? Whistle That's not a dent, it's a rivet. That's not a dent, it's a rivet. That's not ... oh! That is a dent!

You guys are cruel. Saw the snow trac in Saas Fee and have since had a terrible urge to buy one and refurb. Just as I was getting over the calling this thread appears and the wound reopens.

The black trac is a rebuild of a machine built in Scotland in the 50's and used on estates and by power line companies. Running gear is VW with a proper steering wheel, no levers, seats 7. Wears a Land Rover badge with pride as owner has an SVX station wagon for towing the Trac on a trailer. Machine is used for tours on the glacier and corporate promo work.
