I have a mantec rear wheel carrier on my 2005 xs 110
I have been given for christmas a pair of very sturdy bearmach rear bumperettes the n/s will fit quite easily however the o/s has the lower bracket for the wheel carrier in its way - is it a case of modifying the bumperette to fit around the bracket ? |

I had to modify my bumperette for my td5 110 because of the mantec spare wheel carrier, i removed the bumperette, then removed the chequer plate, shortened the square tube and chequer plate and re-attached, the bumperette is about 50mm shorter but all works fine.
PM me your email address and I can send a photo |

Like many add ons to Defenders they come in a wide range of style and quality.
Not all bumperettes are the same! Not all rear bumperettes fit with all rear wheel carriers. Many years ago I bought some rear bumperettes off ebay (YES I know ) Not galvanised and need modifying to fit rear wheel carrier like this Click image to enlarge Trouble is you take some of the strength out of them and stepping off rocks I can bend it upwards. These are galvanised and designed to fit with rear wheel carrier Click image to enlarge HTH Brendan Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |
