Hi there RRUK, i love my 110, and travel every where in it, went up to the LRO show this year for the first time from Devon, up and back in a day, never board or tired, cruising at 60-65, just savouring every moment, i have not got any other cars to pop anywhere, and i would not want any, SWMBO has got hers and only drive it when shes not well and yes i've always got a smile or a big grin when i'm in or i'm looking at my landy, you have a awesome landy there and you have a very very difficult decision to make, i hope you dont regret selling (if you go that way) as a load of landy owners do this is my opinion i hope it helps you some way

I did want a 110 originally, should have stuck to my guns. Trouble is they're even more in demand and id want a USW and they're not cheap, much more money. 2016 D4 HSE

Test the water and advertise it. Have you still got the rear seats for it? Andy

Hi mate, I went from a 110 wagon to my 90 wagon. To be honest, I would have to be pretty picky to really notice THAT much difference between the ride in the two. The 90 does tend to react in a more pitchy way over short length bumps etc, but overall not a massive difference. If you don't like the way your 90 is driving, I would be very careful about just buying into a 110 thinking your ride comfort problems will be resolved... because they won't! Even tough it has ridden on coil springs for some time, the Defender will always be compromised by the solid live axles and the fact it is optimised as a tough go anywhere work vehicle, based upon 1940's design technology. But for the purpose for which is was designed, it's great... given a degree of acceptance that it will never be on par with other SUV etc computer designed vehicles. You have a pretty cool 90 there! Especially with all the work you have done on it so well! I think you should put it in the garage for a month, then get it out on a nice day and drive it again... you may well find you will be back in love again! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

It does seem a real shame to get rid after all the great work and mods you have done to your defender.
Is it possible that you enjoy the process of working on the vehicle more than actually driving it? Nothing wrong with that, I know a guy who loves restoring classic cars but as soon as he finishes one sells it straight away to move on to the next one. With the market as it is for used defenders at the moment if you are going to change to a Discovery now would seem a good time to do it 2015 Defender 90XS HT |

Its time for a reality check a Defender is like no other its a piece of anyone who states otherwise is deluded That said its our piece of POO so that's it Your'll Love and Forgive or Loath it if the latter sell on however you have been there you missed it and brought another so you'll do the same again Its not the only mode of transport you have you'll so its not a rock and hard place decision Use the Full Fat on Shoots |

Yes I have but I have promised those to a forum member who has a project. Why? Would getting rid of the seats drastically affect being able to sell it? 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

I bought the Defender so I could stop using the FF on shoots, to prevent it from damage, like the time we were all made to drive through a hedge, and all got scratched to down one side 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

Could not agree more which is why I got a defender again. I have a RR but still often get in the defender to drive to work - noisey uncomfortable, leaks, rattles but it has soul & puts a smile on my face - sadly as good as my FFRR is its just an excellent vehicle. I had a discovery commercial XS (2014), inside its similar quality to the FFRR, can do everything the Defender can do and is again a great vehicle, but its not going to put a smile on your face like the defender does. If you have made the decision to move get a discovery commercial you cannot go wrong for shoots - its enourmous in the back, takes a large dog box for the gun dogs and plenty of room for guns etc. Good time to sell your vehicle 2020 P300 HSE |

It's s SW missing it's rear seats... They aren't cheap to add, if I was viewing it I would want to have them included. I have to say I enjoy the tide on my 90 more than that on the wife's Disco 4 - I find the air suspension a bit 'bouncy' - vertical bounce according to my old man who's an R&D engineer. My TD5 rides really nicelly and goes round corners well. All standard set up. Maybe the tyres are making a difference to everyone's ride experience?
But we bought the defender to stop the Disco getting knackered taking my daughter to the stables etc, but it never ends up working out how you thought! First world problems eh! 2002MY Defender 90 H/T |

Well wouldn't you know it, I used the Defender today for my final days shooting this season and fell in love with it again.
Yes it crashed about but sometimes I guess I'm more in the mood for putting up with it. The Dirt D Fenders really work well, no more mud up the sides of the car. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |
