Tyres...confused
My TD5 has Michelin 4x4 O/R XZL 7.5 R 16 C tyres fitted on steel wheels. Looking at the handbook I either have 6.5Jx16 or 5.5Jx16 wheels, and at a guess I have the 5.5J wheels. Seems that the Heavy Duty wheels are 6.5J.

The MY 2011 come with Continental Conti Cross Contact AT 235/85 R 16 tyres on 7Jx16 rims. which seem to get a very good right up. However I don't think these tyres are available for my rims.

Just wondering what my options are when my Michelin XZL's need replacing.

United Kingdom 2006 Defender 110 Td5 SW Epsom Green
You can tell if yours are the HD rims easily... there will be a ring of holes around the edge of the "middle" piece of the wheel, like this:

it will also have the 6.5 stamped on the front face.

a standard 5.5 rim looks like this:

235's are usually fitted to 7" rims, but the military have 235 michelin XZL's fitted to wolf rims, aka the HD rim as you mention above, on their wolf 110's.
