Tata Steel is this the end of British Steel

Another 1000 people being laid off tomorrow.
I think this is the end of the road.

The UK is the best at manufacturing Steel and always has been. I can't see why we can't be competitive. I know our labour is more expensive and our electricity is very expensive but there must be a way of using all the by products to produce there own generation systems to bring down costs.
I wish the government would step in and lend a hand to keep the best steel producers in work. Why can't Tata use their steel in their manufacturing processes in the UK.
