A dealer upcountry that I have bought 3 Ranges through in the last 2 years rang up and offered me a 90 Adventurer for immediate delivery at list price.
Problem is I don't know if it's worth buying, £43k for a 90 is a lot not as much as the £62k they want for an Anniversary but still a lot of money. So I just wanted people's thoughts if at all possible, good idea or bad idea? 1998 90 50th Anniversary 4.0 V8 2016 90 Adventure 2015 Range Rover Sport 1971 Range Rover 2 Door Wife won't let me have any more...!!! I'd buy it, compared to the autobiography it's great value at 20k less and not much different to what people are asking for heritages which have a far lesser spec. 2015 Defender 90XS HT

It is a great idea AND sell me your H/T Joking aside, I was calling LR dealers last Sunday, looking for a hardtop, and was offered an Adventure 90 on the first call I made, from a dealer I've bought nothing from. I called also called the dealer I bought my last LR from and was also offered one. During the course of looking for my next Defender, I've been offered other Adventures; therefore, there seems to be more supply than demand for them at the moment. Personally I like the look and I believe you cannot justify it on the total costs of all the bits (because financially it doesn't add up if you look at the bill of materials cost), you simply have to want one. One of the dealers I spoke with said he though the reason they hadn't sold theirs was that it was orange but again, I personally like the orange and think of it as 'the' colour for that model. In short, if you love the look of it and it suits what you want from your Defender, and setting aside the obvious (you can afford it), then I'd say go for it! We only get one go at this thing called life |

I walked into my dealer and bought ahead of it's arrival in a week.
I have to say though the 90 Adventure we bought drives surprisingly well, very quiet and rides so well After my fully specced 110 Twisted I was a bit worried. The leather door panels and dash caps, alcantara headlining etc makes it a nice place to be. And the power upgrade |

Last chance to buy new, go for it. I suspect once the excess stock has cleared they will start to appreciate or at worst hold their money

Surely a dealer can absorb the cost of one of these defenders sitting in the showroom for as long as it takes? Andy

Cheers everyone, well I want it, but thinking about it the biggest problem is that I won't be able to make any real modifications, it seems to have everything already. The best thing about my 90 is I keep changing it Bowler bits, leather etc etc. I could end up have more time at weekends to do very little apart from going for a drive 1998 90 50th Anniversary 4.0 V8

Good choice, I'm sure you won't regret it - just think if you didn't do it when you had a chance to, it would niggle away at you.

I do have a slight problem I need to work on and any suggestions are welcome................I haven't told the wife yet, I know she wont mind but it's going to cost me a fortune as she tries to get her own back.
I think the best idea is not tell her and see if she notices 1998 90 50th Anniversary 4.0 V8 2016 90 Adventure 2015 Range Rover Sport 1971 Range Rover 2 Door Wife won't let me have any more...!!! |
