Couldn't tell you a make as I have had them years rattling around various cars, I think they are 8x30 or something like that.

I keep a pair of Bushnell 8x40 Birding series binoculars in each of our cars which are a good compromise in performance v price. We keep our Swarovski bins in the house as it would be too much of a temptation if seen inside the Defender.

Leica Trinovid 10 x 25 BCA for me, the Green ones...
I have had them many years now and love their portability but awesome performance, although they will stretch your budget somewhat, but they're worth it imhgo... 
Don't actually leave such items in the motor, but always have them in my man bag, which is a constant companion... 
For serious birding trips I use their bigger brother, also in Green...

Also have Bushnell 10 x 42 although not as good as the Leica they are fine for general viewing. 1998 90 50th Anniversary 4.0 V8 2016 90 Adventure 2015 Range Rover Sport 1971 Range Rover 2 Door Wife won't let me have any more...!!! |

Is that the Bushnell 10x42 Powerviews?
I've got a set of those too; for £75.00 they are hard to beat as an inexpensive knock-about pair. |

Have a pair of of old Practica binoculars, but they're not very good at all. I did a lot of research before buying a good pair, and for around the same price of the Leica Trinovid optics I'd recommend the Minox BL 8x33 binoculars. Again, stunning German optics. Compact and waterproof.
Don't leave them in the Landy though! |

Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. I have a pair of Pentax 8-16x21 zoom. They do the job well as I only use them every now and again and as they are small they can easily live in the cubby box, not taking up too much room.
Had them a few years now, cant remember cost but probably fit into your price range. |

Looking on Which . . . . Nikon Travelite EX Binoculars 10 x 25 get the top write up for compact binoculars:-
Pros: The robust and compact Nikon Travelite EX binoculars returned impressive durability ratings in our test. They are also waterproof, so perfect for observing wildlife on the go. Cons: At 2.6m, the close focus isn’t as good as some of the other compact binoculars we tested. They are listed at about £105 . . . but you might be able to find them a bit cheaper maybe ? I'd have thought it probably worth spending an extra few quid to get something with a "Which" top recommendation ! Must say I have Nikon Binoculars, excellent quality and well made, though I don't own this particular model so I'm not giving a personal recommendation, just saying "Which" have them top of their list. |
