A high pressure pipe cleaner hose would be good, but I would still use it once a week for a few months. It took me months remove all the mud from inside my chassis using just an open ended hose.I couldn't reach all the way inside so just used the drain holes to spray water thru.
Just keep at it over a few months and you will clean it. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Re: How to clean the chassis internal? | |

I am preparing my defender for a Bilt-Hamber corrosion spray.
It is fairly clean on the underside as I give it regular a good wash. I now use Bilt Hamber Surfex HD and a brush to degrease.
I like to clean the hollow sections. For that I hoped to use a high pressure hose (attached on a pressure washer) with a nozzle as used in waste pipe cleaning.
I tried the main section from the front (entrance rubber parts removed) and at the back trough the round holes in the side. I didn't come further then 10 inch or so. Are the hollow sections internally divided by partitioning walls?
Is there another (better) way to clean the internal sections?
i had exactly the same problem. just couldnt get the drain cleaning attachment to go into the chassis very far. I ended up putting the vehicle on a steep hill (45 deg on my property) and then just sticking a hosepipe into various points and letting it flow for 30 mins in various points. Kinda worked, but tbh I wont be doing it again.
