2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Santorini Black
I was thinking the other day that the defender looks good in all the current range of colours including the celebration editions and that I could make a case for owning one in any of the colours.....

This colour on the other hand is truly horrible. Shocked 2015 Defender 90XS HT

But it is left hand drive, so must be French or German mustard! Smile It also has Defender on the bonnet, that's not very Heritage!

Colour looks like bahama gold with limestone roof and wheels (IE Range Rover Classic era) special order which is cool! No guesses where they got their idea from! Taken from Twisted's Website!

That is the steering guard. You should have one on your Heritage, as all of those I have seen in Australia have one.

Thanks Avion. I am still thinking... It's a trade-off between the raw look and a bit of protection of the underbody. Such a dilemma

hw7905, that "bar" is not particularly substantial. I've never seen one "tested" against a severe rock impact etc, but all Aussie Defenders are fitted with one. Mine was removed, to fit the ribbed aluminium crash plate, which IMHO is a far better option.

Those protection bars are fitted to the military BFA, these are not outright off road wagons so I think the bar is more for light off-roading, our normal 110/90 Wolf fleet have a very heavy duty steel version that can take one hell of a bashing. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html
90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html
110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html
52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html
D3 Hse - Fiona
Capri 2l S - Anna

Think I might have a problem............

It depends how you intend to use your vehicle, & if any heavy off road work then I would go with a stronger protection such as suggested by Pickles, or the real heavy duty military heavy duty steel version Mash mentioned. We will be doing lots of dirt road driving but not too much rough stuff, just hours of corrugations after which anything real heavy might fall off :)

Hi Pickles, Amazingly it is. Has only been out in the rain once - it has only rained once since we got him, & even though I've been down plenty of dirt roads nothing seems to have stuck. Also got my 4 litres of ACF-50 yesterday so will be hooking the compressor up & giving it a good coating underneath.
