2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 CSW Zambezi Silver

Rear Door Hinges

This may have been covered before but I need to know: if you were to unbolt the rear hinges are the nuts loose or are they captive and hence won't disappear into some void in either the door or the bodywork recesses?

None of mine were captive when I changed for s/s (with ceramic paste) however all were easy enough to get at with a spanner/socket.

A little helper would make life easier.

They just bolt through the door, you can see them on the inside!

Thanks again Cupboard, I did go and have a look after the rain stopped and saw the door bolts, I/ll have to remove the trims to get to the nuts behind the bodywork. Thinking of getting some Optimill hinges.....maybe
