Front Drive shaft rusted/seized
I need some advice please.

My front drive splines are rusted to the drive flange. I'm sure Ive read on here that this is quite common but I cant find the thread.

Anyhow can someone tell me if its possible to remove the flange bolts and circlip and bash the end of the drive shaft without causing damage internally? My plan is to tap it in a few mm then lever the flange out, pack it and tap the shaft in another few mm and so on until I can get the flange off and clean/grease everything up.

Ive seen a video on youtube of someone replacing a front swivel and there was definitely play because he inserted one of the flange bolts in the end of the shaft to pull it out and put the circlip on.

Thanks peeps

Nick

Put some moly type grease in the cap and drive for a couple of weeks - just in use mine loosened up and freed off OK without hitting anything!
