I bought a santorini black grille set from here the other day:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-LAND-ROV...SwhcJWJ4Um There was a few light marks on it but now looks good with a little bit off touch up paint on it where required. |

Damm you Daz you just cost me money! have been toying with the idea of changing my Brunel grill set to black so this is cheap enough to try it and if I don't like it it's not the end of the world. How visible were the marks on your and where on the grill set?
Click image to enlarge This is my current set up so it will be all black with this grill any thoughts guys |

On the one I had there were a a few very light paint scuffs on the leading edge of the grill fins ( just enough to see the primer) and a couple of tiny marks on the bottom corner of the headlight surrounds. I could have not touched it up and it still would have hardly noticed.
Whether or not if you bought one it would be as good, who knows? I suppose you could ask for better pictures from the seller. Or you could of course just paint your own grille set. Last edited by DAZ110 on 8th Jan 2016 6:00pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Hi cake, strangely I was looking at your thread to see what black grill on black looked like I loved the look of you Landy so bought it
I now have kbx wing top vents fitted in santorini aswell and plan to get the chequer plate tops powder coated gloss black. Currently my Td5 is java black but needs a respray this year to get it mint again and think I will go santorini instead of java. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Car is looking great there
Get your wing tops powder coated or get a new set in black - that will transform it along with the grills. Those pictures might not show the full extend but bodywork looks fine so you may just need a full detail to bring it back I will be doing mine when it warms up so can offer tips and products for the black. I have always had silver or white cars and this will be my first black to fully detail. |

Thanks cake
It's amazing what a wash and good light can do to a photo looks great from a distance but not mint up close, it's got a few small dents, passenger side front wheel arch is damaged and need replacing, rear door shot and front doors not brilliant so will all be replaced along with new sills. Hence why I will do full respray. Lots planned for it this year so might get round to doing a rebuild thread at last. |

Daz, how good are the light clusters. Have a custom grille already, looking to get Santorini gloss light upgrades. Worth the £34 instead of DIY spray? Think they'll last? If so I'll take a punt. Ta Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

I picked a set up from the same seller, they are genuine Land Rover items in santorini black, mine had a tiny scuff on one of the fins that is totally unnoticeable once fitted. Light surrounds were/are mint. I guess its a bit of a gamble but a massive bargain if you get a mint set like they sent me.
