Kind words chaps but my series 1 has to take priority and as a family a 110 will be more useful, my wife tells me...personally I don't think you can beat a short wheelbase with the roof off, especially a Keswick green one... Bow down Sib

That is a lovely colour combo...

Would it be worth hanging onto until the spring, not sure how many people might be looking for a soft top Landy as we are about to hit winter proper! 2002MY Defender 90 H/T

Agreed, but you'd be surprised how warm the material is and it's much better sealed than the rope and hook traditional method.
I'm actually looking forward to some proper cold..had enough of this rain now. Sib

Hi Rich
It started off as an almost new truck cab which I sourced and I had it professionally converted for a famous chap (who will remain nameless) to his spec as a summer toy. He wanted a base spec so that it could potentially get wet inside when the roof was off. Its absolutely great and a proper Landy with no added bling just practical extras. He never used it (literally once in two years) so I bought it back, changed the oil and filter and checked everything over. All good. I love it but I feel a 110 is better suited for our family needs. It is still very tight with absolutely no clutch/gearbox woes. It feels very smooth as one would expect. If I was to keep it, which I`m tempted do, I would remove the rear seats for more space and they have a habit of rattling slightly. I would possibly put a side hinged rear tailgate on but I haven`t touched it as I`m keen to keep it as standard as possible. I think the Keswick green with sand coloured hood is a great combination. The black mesh top was on loan as I was trying it out. It`s great so I have ordered one due to arrive in January and would be sent on. I found that even when the temp is around 5 degrees you still stay warm only with the top section on as the heater is so efficient. I really want to keep the mileage ultra low but its so tempting to drive as its such good fun. PM me if anyone has any more questions.

Great looking truck one thing to note..keeping the milage ultra low can have its disadvantages to your pocket if your unlucky...as we all know landrover use the three year warranty as a a time to fix the cockups in the assembly process..if i was buying a 3-5 year old truck i would want around 15 -20 thousand miles on the clock as if you have a wrongun thats about the time when everything Censored up!just when its out of warranty!
