Thanks - that looks interesting, any I thought the doormobile was just hte pop up roof, or am I mistaken and they do the interiors too?
Are the seats part of this? Thanks T |

Dormobile provide everything including a top up roof - we dont have one as we carry racing canoes on the roof so need the rack all the time.
The seats are sold in sets of 4 (2 front 2 back) Wardrobe, & Cooker are made to fit in the rear of the vehicle, bespoke water tank gas bottle stowage, to fit under the vehicle, electrical fittings water pump 240 volt converter, all came from them as well. look at the link that Romadog provided and see the price list there The new roof bed board for the pop top looks like a great way to go but not suitable for us. Its aways a compromise. We have a cdrom with loads of diagrams, advice etc on building your own camper. We brought these back from Germany last year and it has been on my list of things to look into putting on the website and I have not got round to doing it. My excuse is my computer doesn't have a cd drive and I keep forgetting to get the older one out to evaluate it properly.

Hi wyvern, I spoke to Dormobile in Romsey yesterday and they say they are now unable to supply Dormobile/Dormatic seats. Do you or does anyone know where else you can get them?

Yikes!! thats a basis of all Dormobiles!!
I know that they had an issue with supply a couple of years ago as they couldn't get the seat cover material There is a Dormvbile owners club web site - but most owners are classic S2 or S3 owners and not defenders - so the seats are not the same and work in a different way. maybe post a request on the Dormvbile face book page to see if anyone has any for sale. Good luck ! Hi Stacey the tent is a ‘Kayan Porch Awning’ and works very well - its not a stand alone tent and needs to lean on the wagon to stand, we pop it up when we are camping or stopped for a meal. its like an umbrella and pops up in about 2 mins total and doesn’t need any pegs when its not windy. I believe its not available anymore sadly, but there are lots of similar ones on the market but not ‘umbrella’ type. Lights - we have LED lights that use a minimal amount of power and don’t plug in to the mains as we have no heavy power drain other than an air top cab heater that feeds from the 2nd battery. hope that helps Click image to enlarge Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |
