Manchester Service Recommendations
So the time has come for my first service on my 64 plate 90. I knew the dealership service would be a bit steep, but nearly £500!! You've got to be joking, for a few litres of oil and a few filters?! I know there's a bit more to it than that, but for a first service on a 12 month old vehicle with less than 10,000 miles??

I had been quite keen to keep up a dealership service book, but will seriously look at independents if anyone can recommend any in the Manchester area. I used to use a mobile chap recommended through the Disco3 forum when I had a Disco (Iain at Offroad Essentials - but he's no longer servicing vehicles as far as I know), and couldn't fault him. Hoping there are some similar recommendations on Defender2.net?

I use Neil Davy at Deeside 4x4 ...normally 50% of dealer and will update LR service records

a1 landrovers in bury.look after a lot of new landys and do dealer work as well (now renamed after Lr uk took an interest in all landrover garage names)

landranger stockport have always been good for me

^^^now Guy Salmon, but I always call them Hollindrakes too...Wink They have the same phone number as Hollindrakes and that's what its stored on my phone as.

I found that for servicing costs, I got a better deal from the supplying dealer. In the case of my D4, I got it from Guy Salmon in Sheffield and their price for a B service was £418 (inc MOT) but £625 ( ex MOT) from Hollindrakes/Guy Salmon Stockport.
