Arc flash....I always err on the side of caution when winding in breakers because of this.

 If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

That first clip gave me the best laugh I've had all day.

Maybe his woes were due to a creaky 'what if' clutch pedal too Rolling with laughter Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

[Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc]

Whilst his videos seem like a moron who found a plug, he is reportedly a very well respected engineer, and knows exactly what he's doing in his videos.
I find it hard to believe sometimes, but if he didn't know very well what he was playing with, he'd probably be dead by now!

When I was sat watching the clip my first thoughts were that I will be watching actions like this from my youngest boy! Yes he's a very bright lad allmost 15 and knows exactly what he wants to do with his life, he wants to work in R&D with JLR, something that he's wanted to do since he started junior school.
Now Samuel is gaining quite a good knowledge on how things work and come apart but, and a big but, that magical thing of mechanical empathy sadly eludes him. He's the sort that will wield a spanner along with a handfull of plasters, I dread showing him how to weld, there's going to be a lot of quiet contemplation from me whilst biting my tongue. Ye gods it was bad enough teaching him how to ride a bike, the wife and I had to just walk away and hide behind a hedge. We could hear him shouting at the bike, you know the sort, it's never their fault and 10 minutes later he comes peddling round the corner like an old pro!

We use this at all electrical installations in our plants. It assures that nobody can turn systems life while an engineer is doing work on any electric system which he first turned off.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

LOTO=Lock Out Tag Out

At least that's what it means where I work.

Indeed, I have my own personalised set of padlocks for which I am the only key holder and several lengths of thick chain to padlock valves shut and lock out breakers, as well as a set of thick plastic tags. Stops anyone else opening valves, or closing breakers and killing me.
